7th Grade: Students are continuing their self-paced unit on Cells. During out small group meetings this week we will focus on prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.

6th Grade: We will be playing various review games and doing a review scavenger hunt in order to prepare for ILEARN

7th Grade: We will begin our self-paced unit on Cells. Students will complete their assignments posted in google classroom at their own pace. This self-paced unit will allow all students to meet their learning goals before the end of the year despite end of the year ‘disruptions’ like state testing and O-flights.

6th Grade: We are finishing our roller coasters and will be creating game boards that will help us review for ILEARN.

7th Grade: This week, extra credit will be offered to those that need to raise their grade. Also, we will be starting our unit on cells by taking notes on Cell Theory.

6th Grade: We are continuing our engineering unit by making marble roller coasters out of paper.

7th Grade: We are finishing our health invention PBL by presenting a commercial or poster about our invention to the class.

6th Grade: We are starting our unit on engineering by learning about the engineering process and completing hands-on activities to get our minds thinking about engineering.

7th Grade: This week we are continuing our PBL on health inventions. We will be researching a health issue, creating an invention to help the health issue and then creating a poster in order to advertise our invention.

6th Grade: We will be learning about invasive species this week. First we will read articles and watch videos in order to learn the concept, and then we will create a poster and news report of a selected invasive species.

7th Grade: This week we are working with tinkercad.com in order to experiment with ways we can design things for a 3D printer. We will also be focusing on missing work from all classes so that we are prepared for the end of the quarter (3/4/22)

7th Grade: We are starting our new life science unit by reading a non-fiction book about the body systems and taking notes on them. We will also be brainstorming ways that different inventions help our body systems in order to kick off our new PBL assignment on healthcare inventions.

6th Grade: We will be wrapping up our Class Pet PBL by creating pamphlets or presentations about the class pet that each student wants.

7th Grade: This week we are studying for our TAKE HOME TEST that will be completed on friday and is due on Tuesday (2/22)

6th Grade: This week we are starting our class pet PBL. Students are brainstorming ideas for a class pet and thinking about what their pet needs in order to maintain homeostasis (balance).
