Whew that last week went by too fast! Sorry for the derp! This week is the LAST week of the quarter and we will be cleaning up the assignments from September. This week is an adjusted week with Friday being Yellow. I have attached the yellow scedule to all my classroom feeds to help. Every class will meet on Friday with a 45minute duration.

6th- Last week we discussed Idioms. The assignment was to use the expression and illustrate 4 of them LITERALLY. Each student recieved one sheet of paper folded it into 4ths and began the project. It is due on October 4th (Monday) and we will then work on any missing assignments from September. There will also be a 20 point bonus assignment for any student caught up that would like the opportunity.

7th – Last week we also discussed Idioms. The assignment was to use the expression and illustrate 6 of them LITERALLY. Each student recieved a sheet and a half of paper and began the project. It is due on October 4th (Monday) and we will then work on any missing assignments from September. There will also be a 20 point bonus assignment for any student caught up that would like the opportunity.

8th- Last week we finished Frida Kahlo and also ran through Salvador Dali. As a culmination of Dali the students were given a section of one of his most famous paintings “Elephants” cut up into squares. Their job was to color the squares as they wished (crazy if they wanted) and reassemble it. This was due Thursday as a class only assignment. This week we will be working on “a corner of my room” project for Monday and Wednesday. If they finish this, they will have the opportunity to complete all September work and the bonus opportunity.

2D- Slice of heaven is what we started last week and it is due on Monday this week. The instructions were to think of your favorite place. The one place you are Zen and happy. Now Draw it in a piece of pie or cake. We are using the “piece of heaven in a literal sense with a figuative twist! If they finish this, they will have the opportunity to complete all September work and the bonus opportunity.

3D- Piggy backing off of 2D art’s assignment, we began slice of heaven as well. The twist is what 2d does on paper, 3d Builds into a display. They must construct a piece of pie that opens into their slice of heaven. This is Due on Friday this week.

Careers- finishing weaving project started on Friday (last week) and discussing textiles.

Hello all,

We are closing in on the end of the term. Everyone should look on Skyward and make sure their grades are accurate. If you turned in an assignment that is not in the gradebook, please let me know so I can update that. You still have a chance to turn in missing assignments. If you make up an assignment, send me an email so I can give you credit.
