Our 8th grade field trip to Mississinewa 1812 is approaching quickly and I want to get as much information out to you as possible. The field trip will be for 8th grade students only and will take place on October 1st, 2021. We will be traveling to the Mississinewa Battlefield (located in Jalapa, near Marion, Indiana). We will be leaving the school at approximately 8:15am and returning close to 3pm. All 8th graders who have turned in their permission slips and the $15.00 fee to me will be attending this trip. ALL permission slips must be turned into me no later than September 24th. Any student who has not completed the permission slip will not be going. IN ADDITION, any student who maintains a disciplinary issue, WILL NOT be allowed to attend, and will more than likely be reassigned to an alternative schedule for that day.
There have been a lot of calls and emails from parents about the dress code, money, cameras, chaperones…. The dress code for the day is the grey polo shirts that may be worn with jeans or uniform pants and they may also wear tennis shoes (HIGHLY ADVISED), due to the location we will be in. They can bring whatever money you wish to give them however no money is required. Lunches must be in a bag, which can be thrown away with the student’s name clearly marked on it. There WILL NOT be any areas for refrigerated items. Any student wishing to take a school provided lunch MUST advise me of that when they turn their permission slip and money in. Cameras and cell phones are permitted however the students have been given strict instructions on the usage of such devices and they have been advised of the consequences of disciplinary action if abused. There is no need for any chaperones, we have plenty of teachers going to supervise this event, however I would like to thank the several parents who have asked to volunteer as chaperones.
If there are any questions, please feel free to contact me via email nmcbee@goapa.org. If you have an emergency while we are at the field trip site, please contact the school directly and they will be able to make contact with me.

Happy E-Learning gang. Todays assignment has finally posted. Sorry for the delay. For some reason it would not post at 8am. The assignments for both 7th and 8th grade classes are very simple and quick Edpuzzle. Get them done and turn them in for a grade. Everybody have a safe and fun day of learning at home.
For e-learning today, please make sure to do at least one APEX or Edgenuity lesson and quiz. If you are behind, it would be in your best interest to do a few more if you have time.
E LEARNING DAY 9-3-21 TODAY please take this time to finish up your TINKERCAD lesson that we started this week. Make sure you follow all of the steps listed in the lesson. Use the link in the CLASSWORK tab here on Google Classroom to access the assignment and instructions. This will be graded by Wednesday of next week.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Take what we talked about this week regarding light and use either natural light or a lamp in your home to replicate either a scary, happy or mysterious image. You don’t have to use a person as your subject either. Once you take the photo (using your phone or camera) send it via email.
