Hi everyone! Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! As you likely know, English 111 and 215 are dual credit composition courses, which means this year is going to be full of lots of writing! During the first semester, we will be focused on learning writing skills through completing several short-form essays like you would experience in most college humanities courses, and we will end the semester by completing an 8-10 page argumentative essay. During the second semester, we will be applying these skills in a self-directed research project, culminating in a 10-12 page essay and a presentation.

There can be a lot of information to keep track of in the course, so you can access our weekly schedules at the following link. A link to this schedule can also be found under the “Classwork” tab of our Google Classroom under “Course Macro Documents.”
